ONGC Recruitment through GATE 2018:

Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) has released an advertisement for recruitment of candidates for the post of Class-I executives (At E-1 level) in the engineering and Geo-Science disciplines. Candidates can register and fill the application form of ONGC recruitment 2018 till   May 3. Candidates, who qualify in GATE 2018 exam will be eligible to apply for ONGC recruitment through GATE. Graduate Trainees at E-1 level in Engineering and Geo sciences posts on the basis of Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2018 scores.

Eligibility Criteria:

Educational Qualification

Ø  Candidates need to score minimum 60% marks in the undergraduate engineering programmes, to be eligible to apply for the recruitment.

Ø  Candidates who have passed professional exams such as AMIE (Mechanical)/ AMIE (Electrical)/ AMIE(Civil) are not eligible for the ONGC recruitment through GATE 2018.

Ø  Candidates in the final year of B.E or B.Tech are also eligible to apply. If they are shortlisted, then their candidature will be provisional. They will have to produce the requisite documents by last week of July 2018 as proof that they have met the requisite percentage of marks.

Selection Process:

Ø  Candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of their GATE 2018 scores.

Ø  Such candidates will be called for a personal interview. Candidates must also carry their original documents while attending the interview.

Ø  It is to be noted that candidates working in the public sector unit or government job will be required to produce a no objection certificate from the organization in which they are working.

Ø  After they qualify for the personal interview, candidates will have to meet the requisite medical parameters which are laid down by ONGC.

Ø  For the final selection, a merit list will be prepared on the basis of below-given parameters

Pay Scale & other benefits:

  Ø  Candidates will be absorbed in the pay scale of Rs 24,900/- - 50,500/-.

HOW TO APPLY:

Ø GATE-2018 Registration ID and Application ID

Ø Challan form downloaded and duly filled with the applicable fee deposited and acknowledged by the concerned bank

Ø Mobile number & E-mail ID(as filled in GATE-2018 application) in which the OTP will be sent for completing the registration process.

Ø Scanned copy of recent passport size color photograph of the candidate with white background containing signature of the candidate in a small white sheet pasted just below the photograph (Not more than 70 KB size)

Ø Caste certificate to fill details regarding community, state & district, if belongs to OBC/SC/ST category.

Ø All correspondence with the registered candidates shall be done through the registered E-mail only. The candidates are required to keep the registered E-mail active at least for one year and also the Mobile Number used for receiving OTP.

Ø  The candidates shortlisted for interview are required to upload the scanned copies of certificates at online application site for downloading the Interview Call Letter.

Ø Registration fee is non-refundable.

Ø  Registration Fee can be deposited at any branch of State Bank of India through the challan in ONGC Power Jyoti A/C No.30827318409 of SBI, Tel Bhavan, Dehradun.

Ø  Applicants can download the Bank challan Form from the www.ongcindia.com.

Ø  Applicants are required to pay Rs.60/- as branch charges and Rs.10.80/- as GST in addition to registration fee as above. Hence total amount payble would be Rs. 370/- only which has been indicated at Bank Challan Form.

Ø  Departmental candidates from ONGC would also be required to deposit the applicable registration fee through the challan form. However, the same would be reimbursable.

Ø  Candidate should keep his/her copy of challan form so that the same can be verified by ONGC at the later stage.
