Defence Research and Development Organisation Recruitment & Assessment Centre (DRDO RAC) has invited Online Applications from Engineering graduates for the recruitment of Scientist B Posts. A Total of 41 Vacancies are available in DRDO Jobs 2018. Candidates who have a valid GATE 2018 score can now apply for DRDO Careers 2018 from 5th May 2018. The Last date to apply is 26th May 2018. Educational Qualification:

Ø  Scientist B (Electronics & Communication Engineering): Passed First Class Bachelor’s Degree in Technology or Engineering in Electronics and Communication from a recognized board
Ø  Scientist B (Computer Science & Engineering): Passed Degree in First Class in Engineering or Technology in Computer Science and Engineering from a recognized board

Application Fee:

Ø  General and OBC male candidates are required to pay a non‐refundable non‐ transferable application fee of ` 100/‐ (Rs. One Hundred only) payable online only. There is no application fee for SC/ST/DIVYANG and women candidates. 

Screening/Short listing:

Ø  Eligible candidates will be shortlisted for further selection process on the basis of valid GATE score, in the ratio of 1:5 subject to their availability in order of the discipline wise category wise merit list.
Ø   The GATE paper and the subject of qualifying degree must be related to the Subject/Discipline against which the candidate is applying.
Ø  Candidates are advised to be careful while filling their GATE score as the short listing will be based on the GATE score filled in the application/bio data form.
Ø  The scrutiny of application/ confirmation of GATE score from the submitted documents/ score card will only be done for those candidates who are above the cut off of GATE score as per the norms of short listing specified above. Therefore the wrongly filled GATE score may automatically result in candidate not getting shortlisted for scrutiny purposes also.

Selection Process:

Ø  The shortlisted candidates will be required to appear in the personal interview to be held at Delhi or any other place as decided by RAC/ DRDO. Shortlisted candidates shall be able to download their interview call letter along with date/venue of personal interview and other relevant documents through the candidate login obtained after successful registration. Intimation in this regard shall be sent as SMS on the registered mobile number of the candidate. Candidate may please note that the Interview call letter will not be sent by post/courier.
Ø  The final selection of the candidates will be purely on the basis of discipline wise category wise merit of aggregate of 80% weightage of GATE score and 20% weightage of marks in personal interview. For consideration for selection, a candidate appearing in Personal Interview need to secure minimum qualifying marks of 70% for General candidates and 60% for OBC/SC/ST/DIVYANG candidates.
Ø  The offer of appointment to the selected candidates will be restricted to the number of vacancies in order of merit.  The appointment, however, will be subject to satisfying conditions like qualifying the Medical examination prescribed for Group ‘A’ Technical posts of Govt. of India with Field Service liability and verification of character antecedents besides verification of SC/ST/OBC/DIVYANG (OH) certificate etc, wherever applicable. 
Ø  Final result (customised for individual candidate) will be made available at RAC website (https://rac.gov.in).

Training:

   Ø  All selected Scientists ‘B’ for DRDO may be required to initially undergo a full time Post Induction Training at DIAT Pune/ ITM Mussoorie.

Pay scale:

  Ø  Rs-56,100/-(Inclusive of HRA & all other allowances) at the time of joining will approximately Rs 80,000/- p.m at present metro city rate.
